A lot of clubs have lions as the club symbol. I don't think that they would be allowed to let every club that has Lion as the symbol to let them have one run about the pitch before every home game.

I am a huge huge Lazio fan & have been for 30 years, and because I am not Italian, I only saw Olimpia on TV, until 2018 when me & my wife went to Italy for the first time, and I saw her fly in front of me. My wife, being not interested in football, was so surprised to see that kind of emotional show takes place in a football match! She talked about it to her family & friend when we came back. Of course, the emotions were very high for me & surprisingly, even for my wife! I am going back to the Olimpico on 17.05.2020 hoping to see something huge happening there on that specific day, and it will all start, with the flight of Olimpia! FORZA LAZIO PER SEMPRE

@lucab14 That's strange, Lazio was founded before Benfica (although only 4 years), so I don't understand why Lazio should ask Benfica for permission for an eagle before their games given the fact that Lazio has had an eagle in their logo for longer time than Benfica.

I was impressed by the come back of passionate stadium when I watched Rome derby.. For few seasons, there were a lot of vacant seats in the stadium even when the derby was held.. please do not lose the passion... By Japanese Juve fan.

I heard a lot of about italian football . People always mention about Juventus , AC Milan , Napoli Internationale. But I research after that and found that clubs like Lazio , Cagliari , Torino , Sampodria have very reach history of italian football . However Roma is another famous club mainly famous for totti in outside europe same for Napoli people nowadays also chanting about Maradona's Napoli days. However italy is a beautiful country with a lots of passionate football fans and also have some greatest clubs of europe . I wish one day I am able to visit this beautiful country . A lot of love and respect for the italy and their people from India . Forza Italia😍😍⚽🏆

the eagle was the symbol of ancient roman empire also. The golden eagle was the symbol that the legions carried away and it didn’t have to touch the ground, like in the netflix serie Barbarians. It is the symbol of the empire, with its color golden and purple... Lazio in fact is the real team that represents Rome, it’s the first team born (before the other opponent team ACS Roma) FORZA LAZIO🤍💙🦅 and the serbian players are amazing!! Milinkovich 😍

it's true, Olimpia will always remind us of Olimpico Stadium in a clear day, with morning sunlight shines towards the blue sky coloured shirt of fans there. Even if I'm not a Lazio fan, she alone should be enough to show us of the vivid memories when football is not just a game, but more than it. Thanks for the nostalgia and keep flying high, Olimpia ❤️

Ahimè hai ragione, è "aquila calva", per altro simbolo degli states. La nostra aquila sarebbe quella reale, diffusa anche nell'appennino come giustamente scrivi tu. Comunque è ovviamente uno spettacolo unico e... da laziale né vado ovviamente fiero.
