To be honest he was sick of Thauvin missing penalties this year, he took the ball and the responsibility and netted the only goal of the game with an immaculate and fierce strike. He looked like he knew what he was doing and the consequences that come with it, as he didn't react after he was subbed off. He scored the goal which eventually gave his team the win. Who knows what could happen if another player takes it? That's leadership over there. Also, it the right decision by the manager to sub him off as it was the corect move to keep his group together. The old heads have to give the young and emerging leaders of the team some space. He has a great season, Lorenzo Lucca, and he is ready to take more responsibilities. Give them to him. Alexis and Thauvin aren't getting any younger....

It's not just about the game bro , the team including coach argeed to let thauvin take that penalty so I think that is partly Lucca's selfishness . Moreover , we can see the reaction of other udinese players after that goal, they are obviously disappointed so the decision to sub him is reasonable to keep team mentality

@ just two sides to every story, easy to call him selfish and not a team player, yet we train strikers to have killer instinct when going for goals, hard to punish someone for doing what you train them to do. Obviously teammate wise it’s a bad look, but as a soccer player who’s played through college at a high level, you can tell the dudes intentions, he didn’t hit anyone or overreact yelling, took the sub owned it, but still scored.
