@@denisherlock3023 Lol are you serious? He had bad luck. You think he should've tried to pass the ball into the goal instead? You must have very little match experience to make such a comment. Shooting when you have a clear opportunity and a thunderous strike is a no brainer and always preferred over passing the ball aimlessly. If his shots were a few inches to the left and down they would have been goals. Speculative shots are better than passing it around. Any shot on frame is a potential goal, not just for the shooter, but also if it hits the keeper and a forward can tap in the rebound.

Ronaldo is a great football player, but it is proved that real Madrid other players (Modrich, Cross, Marcelo,Bale etc) was backbone for his performance in CL over the last couple years. Juv must think of this fact before the next CL. I am a Ronaldo fan but I must agree he is not playmaker any more, he is still best in set piece, so he need the ball from the mid field to score goals. With this mid field players even the all time great Messi might suffer.

Yes, but Messi still had andre iniesta, sergio busquets, luis suarez, ivan rakitich so it is not only about Gomes I believe, but I agree Messi is an ultimate play-maker, no doubt about it, Ronaldo is getting slow with age and which is very obvious so with real madrid it was not seen but here in Juventus it is very clear. In spite of his age, team midfield situation, he has done his job in Juv.

Still issues to fix in midfield and the backline, but it seems like it might be focus and desire - which is the coach's responsibility. A new face or two and a proper coach may just get them to UCL glory next year. We'll have to see what Juventus does as an organization.

Juve needs to think of buying some worldclass defenders. They’re not defending like they used to. Chiellini’s absence can really be seen and he’s getting older too, so can’t play there forever. Bonucci without Chiellini is a nothing, he has made at least 8 invidual errors this season. Rugani is not yet ready to be a starter.
