This dude really came alive final 3rd of season when it really mattered. Crazy story to go from a huge club and league like Man U even if they’ve been a shadow of their glory days to go to Italy, and to a team that just came off horrible scudetto defending season and lost the star players and coach. Becoming an instant fan favorite and star.

@@crokkadoodledoo9956 everytime i saw him play for scotland, i thought that he was really a nr 10 and should play further upfield. But of course united dont see that ir just dont do it because they have bruno. Napoli saw it and got rewarded

He scored to put Napoli up 1-0 8 times this season. That is 8 times that Napoli was given a lead that they could use Conte's tactics on by a midfielder. Unbelievable season.

He played his first games under Mourinho, and he played him as 6 or defensive midfielder. “Under José Mourinho at Manchester United (2017-2018 period), McTominay was mainly deployed as a defensive-leaning central midfielder rather than an attacking one. Here’s the breakdown: Primary role: A disciplined, positionally responsible No. 6/No. 8 hybrid, used for his work rate, physical presence, and tactical discipline. Mourinho often trusted him in big games to follow instructions closely, sometimes even man-marking or protecting the back line.” So no, it was not OGS who suddenly decided to play him deeper. It was Mourinhos idea, and he stayed as a defensive oriented player until his end season at United.

Feels happy for him as Man Utd fan. But I can't believe Napoli lost Kvaratskhelia for PSG. If not, they will be real threat in UCL and dominate SeriA for a long time.

@@joshd9454 They have been small ever since SAF left the United bench. 90% the players that have left have gone on to do much better in other clubs, when the club is known for being a talent wasteland and the infrastructure is so bad and the cooking staff get paycuts in favor of the higher ups, your club is a small shadow of what once was. So yeah, a small club called him medicre and now he went on to win Serie A as a key player, hope Mbeumo and Cunha works out I guess
